Textile Nomade
Textile Nomade® is an artisan weaving studio, nestled in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenean countryside, in the quiet village of Audressein. A geographic location in line with this craft : the Ariège department is a place with a long-standing traditions of artisanal or industrial textile manufacturing. Art of weaving is a rare know-how that Pauline and Matthieu keep alive, restoring the important status of french hand-woven textile.
Textile Nomade® uses beautiful wooden tools, which are works of art in themselves : hand-looms, shuttles, creels, and more, to craft unique decorative or clothing fabrics with natural fibers. Linen, cotton, wool, alpaca, silk, hemp, ... Unique shades make these materials more wonderful, artistic and sustainable.
Thus, weaving is a veritable artistic profession in which « crossing the yarn » is a source of a wealth of patterns and writings, expressed through Pauline and Matthieu creations.
A self-expression passed on by them through classes and workshops in their pyrenean studio.
